Seven Mandar heads take a monosyllabic allomorph inside a phonological phrase φ and a longer one at its right edge, because Positional Minimality, Align-R(φ, (σ́σ)), outranks PRIORITY. Where Syllable Lifting can draw an unfooted syllable from the next φ of the same maximal φ, the suppletion is suspended, so Vocabulary Insertion reads prosody beyond the head.
